Pool pump parts
Pool pumps and pump parts
Pumps, motors, drives, seals and O-rings, matched to the label on your pump. Here's what to check and what to send us.
Before you order: rule out the simple stuff
Many "bad pump" calls are really air leaks or low water. Two safe checks first:
- The equipment has power: breaker on, timer or automation calling for it to run.
- Water is about halfway up the skimmer, the baskets are empty and the filter is clean.
Still not right? Don't guess at parts. Show a pool tech on a video call and get the exact cause first.
Which part? Common symptoms
| What you're seeing | Parts often involved |
|---|---|
| Air bubbles in the basket, won't hold prime | Lid O-ring, union O-rings, suction leak, shaft seal |
| Water under the motor | Shaft seal (Pentair calls it a wearable part) |
| Runs, weak flow, filter clean | Impeller blocked or worn, diffuser |
| Overheat alarms | Blocked fan or airflow first; then the drive |
| Repeated overcurrent, phase or internal faults | Motor or drive (see VS pump codes) |
Pumps and pump parts we source
Single-speed & two-speed pumps
Complete pumps matched by horsepower, voltage and plumbing size, in-ground or above-ground.
Common sign: A tech has confirmed the pump is done, or it's time to replace an old single-speed pump.
Variable-speed pumps
Variable-speed pumps matched to your plumbing, voltage and the automation they need to talk to.
Common sign: Upgrading, or a tech has confirmed the motor or drive has failed.
Pump motors & drives
Replacement motors and variable-speed drives for many pump models.
Common sign: Repeated overcurrent, phase or internal faults, or a motor that hums and won't spin.
Shaft seals, O-rings & gaskets
Shaft seals, lid O-rings, union O-rings and housing gaskets for the pump you have.
Common sign: Water under the motor, air in the basket, or a pump that won't hold prime.
Lids, baskets, impellers & diffusers
Strainer lids, baskets, impellers, diffusers and drain plugs.
Common sign: Cracked lid or basket, or weak flow from a motor that runs fine.
Booster pumps
Booster pumps for pressure-side cleaners, plus their seals and parts.
Common sign: Pressure cleaner barely moves, or the booster leaks or won't start.
What to send us
A clear photo of the motor label (horsepower, voltage, amps), the drive label on a variable-speed pump, and the plumbing size where it connects. If it's on automation, tell us the controller model so the new pump can talk to it.
Where to find the model and part numbers
- Pumps have a label on the motor with model, horsepower, voltage and amps. Variable-speed pumps also have a label on the drive.
- Heaters have a rating plate, usually inside the access panel or on the side, with model and serial numbers.
- Salt cells and chlorinators have a label on the cell and on the control box.
- Turn the pump off and switch off the breaker before you remove any panel to read a label.

Common questions
Can I replace just the seal instead of the pump?
Often, yes. Shaft seals, O-rings and gaskets are sold separately for most pumps. A tech can tell you whether a seal kit or a new pump makes more sense.
Will a new variable-speed pump work with my automation?
Many do, but it depends on the controller. Send us your controller model and we'll quote a pump that's compatible.
Can I return a pool motor or drive?
Motors and drives are electrical parts, and electrical parts and special orders can't be returned once ordered. A tech confirms the fault and the match with you before you pay.
